STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. STEM can be hard to define, albeit a popular term, as it can be a variety of things. The idea behind STEM curriculum is that it prepares students with 21st century skills that will be even more so needed in the future. With preparation in mind, STEM curriculum aims to provide students with the necessary skills to be able to solve problems, find and use evidence, collaborate on projects, and think critically.
